We've been off on vacation the last few weeks and enjoyed spending the last two weeks with Brooklynn. Despite some pretty terrible weather, we played hard! Brooklynn went bowling for the first time. She played with the 'reset' button more than she bowled, but loved every minute of it. Brooklynn got to spend alot of time with her cousins Hayden, Anna, and Fayth, which she enjoyed a great deal. They played hide'n'seek and 'the boo game' (one they made up, I'm sure). All-in-all a great vacation!

Today was a bog day for Brooklynn..... she got her ears pierced. She didn't even flinch on the first one, but the second got stuck and pulled a bit... she didn't like that. Brooke also met grammie and grampies new dog "Cash" this weekend and became fast friends.

The spring it here and Brooklynn is very excited to get to play outside again. Brooklynn is just about 'there' with potty training. We've got the peeing down pat, we're workin' on the rest.

The holidays have passed and we're all back at work and daycare. Brooklynn had an amazing Christmas. She enjoyed the idea of getting presents from Santa and ripping into the gifts under the tree. She also enjoyed 'making presents', meaning she 'helped' us wrap the gifts and by 'help' I mean ripped the paper and added WAY too much tape. Oh well, it's all in the fun, right? Brooklynn has finally learned how to enjoy the snow. She used to run outside, turn around, bottom lip quivering, and ask to be picked-up. She now runs outside and looks for a giant 'mountain' of snow to jump in - it's awesome! We've introduced the idea of the potty and are in great hopes that we're done with diapers soon. Keep you fingers crossed for us.

It's been a while again, but Brooklynn has had a great summer. Lots of family has visited and we've been busy. She loves her swing/playset out back. Brooke still loves to sing, read and can't wait to get to daycare each morning. Denise and I moved her into her big girl bed last night and she loved it.... had a great sleep and looked aweful cozy this morning. Brooke is getting ready for a 2 nighter down at grammies in a couple of weekends as we go away for 2 nights for the first time since she was born.

Brooklynn has been in daycare for a little over 4 weeks now..... and she's been sick for about 2 weeks of that time. Many thanks to Grammie and Aunt Shirny for taking care of her while she mended from "many" sicknesses and started to develop an immune system. We'll get some pics and videos up to the site soon... it's been a while again.
Brooke has recently taken to a few of the neighbors tricycles, so grammie and grampie gave her, her birthday present a few months early so that she can enjoy her very own tricycle for the entire summer... and with this nice weather, we've been out just about every evening with her.
Brooke loves to sing and count these days. Daycare has taught her a lot of new songs, including how to sing the entire alphabet (with a few misses and mumbles in the middle) as well being able to count to 13 all on her own... that's higher than her mother can go today... very impressive. We'll try to capture it all on video as soon as she'll let us and post for those of you that are interested.
Until next time.... Brooklynn is blowing kisses to all of you. (and for those kissing back.... she would say "I caught it")!Comments:Add a comment:

Brooke started daycare fulltime this week. Aunt Shirney and Grammie are both going to miss her after taking such good care of her over the past 6 months or so. Her new daycare is just a few minutes up the road and she's really enjoying it. She's pretty tired when she gets home with us after a long day playing with all her new little friends. Brooklynn is also starting gymnastics this weekend... joining the coveted "Beausejour Gymnos" as her Aunt Carmen was a part of a many, many, many moons ago.
Other than that, she's growing the way kids are supposed too and we're enjoying her and her developing little personality more and more every day.
Well, that's it for this "quartely" update... we'll try to start posting more often as new and exciting things happen in Brooklynn's little world.
Hugs and Kisses to all from your little pal Brooklynn!! x'sno's!!Comments:Add a comment:

It's been a few months... so here it goes. Brooklynn got all her teeth at once.... she has 8 on top and 6 on the bottom, including the molars. Brooke seems to be enjoying her new teeth, however didn't appear to enjoy 'getting' them. Brooklynn is also entering into her "terrible twos".... seems a little early to us, but everything these days is 'NO!'... and the tantrums... dear lord the tantrums.... there's no way I did this when I was a kid, right? We're just hangin' in there and trying our best to stick to our guns. Brooklynn only seems to enjoy a few food groups (you can imaging which ones) these days, so we're trying our best to teach her about the mysterious 'vegetable'.
We all went to see SuperDogs last weekend, Brooklynn actually enjoyed herself for the most part, but wore down a little bit once the show past the 2 hour mark.
Brooke's grampa will hopefully be coming home from Florida soon and she's very much looking forward to meeting Owen in the next few weeks.
Well, nothing really big, just thought I would update the site with anything I could think of. All is well here... 'buh bye' from Brooklynn and thanks for checking out the site!Comments:Add a comment:

Well, Santa has come and gone and he treated us all very well. Brooklynn took it all in pretty nicely actually. Grammie and Grampie spent the night here and they were here when she woke up in the morning. Santa left her a new table and chair set where she can colour, paint and eat like a big girl. After a few presents, she just kind of wandered away and starting playing with some of her new and old toys and gave the rest of us a few minutes to open what Santa left for us. I would say this year was a 'Backyardigans' Xmas for Brooke, which she loved.
Brooklynn would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Wonderful 2007!Comments:Add a comment:

Wow, are we ever bad at updating this journal! Sorry. Anyway, Brooklynn has been changing by the minute. The last two months have brought about more talking and dancing. Brooklynn has found a great love of books, which were are very happy about. She'll sit and look at books and bring them to us to read to her (she's always liked books, but now she just loves them).
