  Wow, Brooke is 1 year old today! I cannot believe how much things have changed for our little family over the past year. Of course, most of those changes are Brooke 'growing-up'. Brooke is really developing a little personality these days - tantrums and all!

  Brooke took her first few wobbly steps today. She's been working hard on her walking lately, dragging anyone that will hold her hands around the house. This morning she was standing there looking at me and just took a couple of steps towards me - it was very cute. They were unsteady, but they were steps none-the-less.

  Brooke has made some pretty big changes in the last couple of weeks. She is now crawling up the stairs and is doing some 'hands-free' transfers from furniture to furniture. Last night she was standing in front of the coffee table playing with a toy and didn't even realize she wasn't holding on to anything. Of course, when she noticed that she was hands-free she grabbed onto the table and gave a great big smile (I don't know if she was proud of herself or relieved she was holding onto to something??)

  Brooklynn is now forward facing in the car seat -her Doc gave us the go ahead to turn her around. Was she ever interested in seeing the world pass her by forward facing. Whenever Ryan or I would turn around to look at her, she'd give out a big laugh. As you can imagine, we turned around to get that little laugh about 100 times before we got off of our street (about 1.5kms)!

  I can't believe that it is Brooklynn's birthday month - it amazes me that much time has flown by so quickly. We'll be posting new pictures soon - I know we've been a bit lazy in this area lately, we're workin' on it!
